Water Policy Interim Committee Meeting
The Water Policy Interim Committee (WPIC) will meet on October 20 & 21, 2025. The public is invited to attend this meeting in person or can join online.
Meeting Description:
“The committee will begin work on assigned studies HJ 44 (endocrine-disrupting chemicals and water quality) and HJ 74 (water reuse systems) and receive agency updates, a weather modification study report from the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, and a water research update from the MT Bureau of Mines and Geology. The committee will also dive into member-suggested topics including exempt groundwater wells, federal funding changes, monitoring Land Board decisions regarding water rights on state trust lands, and water right enforcement.”
